Do you have a showroom?
We don't operate a traditional showroom. Instead, we bring our full showroom to you — hundreds of carpet, luxury vinyl tile and wood samples delivered to your home so you can see them in your own light, against your walls and furniture. It's a more relaxed way to choose flooring and it's completely free.
Is the home measure and quote really free?
Yes — entirely free and with no obligation. We'll visit at a time that suits you, bring samples in the styles and colours you're interested in, measure your rooms precisely and provide a clear written quotation covering supply, underlay, fitting, door trimming and removal of old flooring.
Which brands do you stock?
We are authorised stockists of the UK's leading flooring brands including Karndean and Amtico luxury vinyl tile, Cormar Carpets, Westex Carpets and Axminster Carpets. We can also source most other quality brands on request.
What's the difference between LVT, laminate and engineered wood?
LVT (luxury vinyl tile) such as Karndean or Amtico is a hard-wearing, waterproof flooring that realistically mimics wood or stone — ideal for kitchens, hallways and bathrooms. Engineered wood is real timber with a solid hardwood top layer over a stable plywood base, suitable for living areas. Laminate is a printed photographic layer on a fibreboard core — a cheaper alternative but less durable than LVT and not as authentic as real wood.
How long does fitting take?
Most domestic carpet installations are completed in a single day. LVT and engineered wood floors typically take one to two days depending on the size of the area and any sub-floor preparation needed. We'll give you a clear timeframe with your quotation.
Do you remove and dispose of old flooring?
Yes. Lifting and disposing of your existing carpet, underlay, vinyl or wood flooring is included in our fitting service. We'll leave your home clean and ready to enjoy.
Do you move furniture?
Our fitters will move standard furniture as part of the installation. For larger items such as pianos, full wardrobes or beds with heavy storage, we'll discuss the best approach when we measure up.
Which carpet is best for stairs?
For stairs we recommend a hard-wearing wool or wool-rich twist pile, such as those from Cormar or Westex — they resist crushing in heavy traffic and look smart for years. Patterned and striped runners from Axminster are also a beautiful choice for traditional homes.
Can LVT be fitted over underfloor heating?
Yes — both Karndean and Amtico LVT are compatible with most underfloor heating systems up to a surface temperature of 27°C. We'll confirm suitability and follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines.
