A great LVT floor starts underneath.
This recent project was a bungalow in Godalming, Surrey. The original floorboards were worn and uneven — exactly the kind of surface that would show through the new Heathland Oak luxury vinyl floor the customer chose.
LVT is unforgiving: every dip, gap and rough patch in the floor beneath eventually shows on the surface. So before any flooring went down, our specialist floor fitters installed a plywood subfloor, creating a smooth, stable base ready for the LVT finish.
Preparation like this is what separates a floor that still looks flat and flawless years later from one that follows every imperfection of the boards below.

The new plywood subfloor screwed down across the bungalow, cut neatly around the built-in cupboards and carried through the hallway to the front door — a smooth, level base ready for the Heathland Oak LVT.
